Review on ☕ Nespresso BNV450TTN VertuoPlus Deluxe Espresso Maker with Aeroccino by Breville, Titan by Ashley Grant

I am extremely disappointed. I bought the newer Nespresso Vertuoline after enjoying friends and family's coffee on the original Nespresso. After spending a lot of money on both the system and the "Club" range of capsules, I felt confident that the expense was well worth it. Just the opposite. EVERY pod I taste is very bitter, regardless of flavor, size, or strength. I don't feel any "vanilla notes, caramel notes, smooth nuttiness," or any of the other flavor variations advertised. Even the wonderful flavors I enjoyed with the original Nespresso capsules/system sound completely different with these Vertuo capsules. After reading many similar complaints and possible fixes on coffee brewing websites, I tried reducing the brewing time, changing the amount of water, and making many other fixes to make the coffee taste good without the added sugar and milk, but the taste didn't improve it. $200+ between system and pods only to pour cup after cup of bitter horrible beer down the sink! I don't understand why there is such a difference between the old system and the new one, and I'm very hesitant to spend even more money on an old, original Nespresso line. Unfortunately, this brilliant, modern (terrible) piece of equipment cannot be returned unless it is in "new, unused condition, in its original packaging". Incredible waste of money.
