These are excellent bits. I needed a 7/16 bit for a project I was working on and the kit I bought earlier wasn't that size and the local HW shop wasn't there when I checked. The bat I ordered arrived after a while but that didn't matter much. It is important that you use these bits correctly. Bosch Daredevil bits are a little different than your regular spade bits. The threaded end is designed to cut in, speed up drilling and help keep you straight. BUT. You need to drill a small pilot hole for the thread. This will ensure you get the correct cut when drilling into hardwood (not essential with softer 2x4s or similar, but I would recommend it for plywood, for example). As another reviewer mentioned, most of the low star reviews seem to be from people abusing it. While I disagree that you can't use them with a cordless drill, you do need a quality drill bit. A cheap no-torque drill might have problems, but my 18v Ridgid had no problems with up to 1 1/2" paddle bits.
