It is best to use a cordless torque wrench so that you don't cut your heads off with these screws. A pilot hole is required. Set a low torque when screwing. Too bad I didn't dip every screw in dish soap as a lubricant. This would prevent multiple screw heads from being stripped. These screws use a patented Kreg screwdriver. It's a square bit but with curved sides like a torx bit. The Kreg Chisel is only available in one length, 6 inches long. For narrow gaps, a regular #1 square cutter can be used. They are available in any length. But the #1 square bit removes the screw head very easily. Where the gaps were narrow, using a 2" long #1 bit with a socket wrench worked well.
