I got this Dr. Pen A9 Microneedling pen to help with some dark spots, forehead wrinkles and overall aging of my skin. I'm in my early 40s and have finally noticed some aging issues that I'm not entirely pleased about. This pen comes with 10 cartridges of various sizes. You get 2 nano cartridges, 4 12 needle cartridges and 4 32 needle cartridges. The main pen arrives in a nice storage box with the charging cable, and the needles are in a separate box. I do wish that there was room in the storage box for ALL of the items, including the needle cartridges. This is my 2nd time trying out microneedling at home. If you use a skin numbing cream, you'll feel little to no pain. My skin was red after the microneedling session, but 12 hours later the redness was all gone. I avoid the sun, makeup and most skincare products for 24 hours after a microneedling session. I only use pure hyaluronic acid serum during and after a microneedling session. After 24 hours I open up to using other skincare products, but avoid anything like a chemical peel for a week or two to allow the skin time to heal. The pen is very easy to use, and I like how the needle cartridges come completely sealed so you know they haven't been contaminated. It is easy to insert the cartridges into the pen, set the depth and set the speed. It is easy to turn off and on. I also watch a few microneedling videos to refresh myself with how to use it and pull up a microneedling depth chart to follow along while I needle. Overall I'd recommend this as a cost effective way to micro needle at home. Pics show the evolution of redness/healing over 3 days. Most people don't see results until after 3 or 4 sessions, spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
