Great for opening cans and anything you need to secure. Good size, not very thick but thick enough. They aren't textured like some other grip pads I've seen, they work better in some cases and worse in others, for example when your hands are wet. The lack of texture causes them to stick together when stacked on top of each other. As for applying as a kitchen coaster, I'm afraid they'll melt if I accidentally put something hot on them. There is no indication of what temperature they can withstand. So I'll just use something to open jars and give some away. The colors aren't really needed as they're just sitting in my drawer, maybe if they were all the same color they could lower the price.
