While driving through the desert, all the clips broke, and some shot dangerously from the roof rack directly into the side windows of unoccupied cars. I had to spend an extra $10 on carabiners that scratched the almost non-existent powder coating on my custom Maxxhaul Amazon roof rack. Clips should be made of scratch-resistant metal, not the most brittle plastic money can buy. "American Ties". will keep them. wm.
