Review on K6781 Evolution Drilled Slotted Ceramic by John Mahfood

I did not purchase this set from Revain, I purchased the same from RockAuto.com. I have used Power Stop brakes on my other vehicles and have been very happy with them, but this is definitely an exception. I bought a complete kit for my Volvo C30. I installed them properly and went through the hack just like other sets I've bought. I have about 1500 miles on this set now and they are terrible. They don't "grab" as well as the Volvo factory brakes, they squeak and howl EVERY time I back up, and the rear brakes "click" incredibly loud. I've read that the clicking is due to the slots on the rotors meeting the pads. If that's true, then why aren't the front brakes clicking? I live at the bottom of a hill and every day when I come home the whole neighborhood hears me walking because I have to slow down going down the hill. I am seriously considering replacing them even though they are brand new. Avoid this set of brakes. I haven't completely given up Power Stop products yet, having used them on 3 other cars with no problems, but I definitely avoid the Evolution z23 brake pads and rotors.
