Oh my god they are ugly. The finish is okay (you get what you pay for but no gaps and generally consistent) but the overall shape just looks stuffed when mounted on the bike. It's something you just can't see until you put it on the bike. (I sometimes tell people I made them from store leftovers.) They look like easily finished castings to me, and then again the matte finish should be paintable and they're relatively cheap. that's why i got it. The delivery was as expected and the product works well. Just screw it in where your down tube switches will be mounted and voila! Frame cable stop for F/R mechanisms. The metal buttons work smoothly and have a good grip. However, they don't fit inside the case (the controls are glossy and the mounts are matte black). No rattling and pre-242 Loctite on the bindings is a nice touch. Only years will tell how corrosion resistant fastener heads are.
