🔌 Pair of Origin8 Cable Stop OR8 CS1 with Adjustable Standard Curved in Black Review

They are bulky and do not fit well. I had to pull the dremel out of the hole so they would sit next to the down tube. I had to buy Shimano which I have used and liked in the past but I wanted black and didn't want to paint anything.

They're only a few bucks cheaper than regular Shimano. Shimanovsky have a tighter fit when installed. But these Origin8 are of very good quality. I mean I do what he has to do. Good parts are $16.

The hub on my Cannondale road bike was completely busted so I had to improvise a bit and this part worked great! I've routed the cable as I'm currently looking for a new set of straps, but I'm sure I won't have any trouble routing the cable.

I put this on my Surly Disc Trucker to give it a slightly different look. Stupid reason because they just aren't that nice. The black finish looks a bit cheap and they don't fit the solder/pipe very snugly. But to be honest they work perfectly and did my job installing black unique looking cable stops.

I bought these cable stops so I can bring my old Cannondale Series 3 into the 21st century. They work great. These cable mounts aren't overly large, as some reviewers have claimed. They work well on frames with large down tubes. They are also solderable - one for the switches. In general, the finishes are good. The alloy is relatively light, all surfaces are smooth. The paint has no defects. The barrel adjuster is OK. They are very easy to use. But I wouldn't bet on the regulators lasting long.

Cast aluminum body, not CNC as described, but the build quality is better than the pictures. The black finish matches my bike's color scheme and thanks to Revain Prime I got them just in time for my build. The base has only a slight concavity, which isn't nearly as functional as Shimano's concave version of the SM-CS50. Oh my god they are ugly. The finish is okay (you get what you pay for but no gaps and generally consistent) but the overall shape just looks stuffed when mounted on the bike. It's something you just can't see until you put it on the bike. (I sometimes tell people I made them from store leftovers.) They look like easily finished castings to me, and then again the matte finish should be paintable and they're relatively cheap. that's why i got it. The delivery was as expected and the product works
