Review on Vacmaster VBV1210 12-Gallon 5 Peak HP Shop Vacuum with Blower Attachment - Detachable & Blue by John Boyce

Almost immediately after unpacking (shipped only in the original box) I found 2 broken blue plastic pieces at the bottom of the box. These were the latches on the lid of a plastic container. I have requested a block exchange. The product itself is made almost entirely of polypropylene with lots of black accessories. I will update this review when a replacement arrives. Update: 6 months later I only use it in my carpentry workshop. Suction power leaves a lot to be desired. I hook it up to power tools via hose converters to collect sawdust and I still have to vacuum after I'm done with the task. I wouldn't buy this again. The replacement vacuum arrived late due to USPS issues (no access to front door? My door is at street level. Snow cleared). In any case, the assembly was quick (4 castors attached to the base), the suction tools are conveniently stowed in the vacuum cleaner. I checked the removable fan. That works fine. It has effectively cleaned sawdust in my shop. There is no dust bag included. All collected waste falls inside the base unit, then lift it up to pour the contents into the bin. The hose connects to the vacuum ports on my woodworking power tools. I have increased my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars due to the ease of assembly and use of the tool. 07/05/2020: This vacuum cleaner is unusable for me. I need it to collect sawdust from a table saw and there is virtually no suction. 6 months and it was more trouble than it was worth. I give up and buy another brand.
