Vacmaster VBV1210 12-Gallon 5 Peak HP Shop Vacuum with Blower Attachment - Detachable & Blue Review

Bought and used about 90 days, the product is out of service. Called support but the volume of their calls is always "higher than expected" and I need to leave messages. No callback. AVOID!

Vacuum claims 12 gallons but after vacuuming 1 gallon the motor stalls and clogs with water. I'm not sure if there's anything I can do to fix this, but it's always worked like this. I have small leaves in my garden and the blower seems to be struggling to move something. No way is it 210 mph, even on its best day. Very disappointed about that!

I've researched for probably a week and found this to be the best horsepower to blowing capacity ratio. It's incredibly easy to use and I love the long cord and easily detachable fan. I had a previous vacuum with comparable power, but this one is just more powerful. The switch is rocker, and my old one was push. The pressure switch is stuck all the time. my pond pump was serviced so very coarse dirt from the pond collected at the bottom of the pond due to lack of circulation - so I had to drain the pond and then I needed a way to get the dirt (decomposing biological matter mixed with rough water) from the pond because it was so rough I didn't want to get it in the pond. I bought two of these units about a month apart. The overall quality is fine and everything has been working well for the past few months. BUT what I noticed about both units is that they don't move much air. With 5 peak HP I would have thought the CFM (Cubic Feet of Air Displacement) would be similar to my ShopVac which they replaced. Almost immediately after unpacking (shipped only in the original box) I found 2 broken blue plastic pieces at the bottom of the box. These were the latches on the lid of a plastic container. I give this vacuum cleaner a 5 star rating. I've used it on my carpeted stairs and also outside for leaves. The vacuum turned out to be better than expected in both scenarios.
