Review on Vacmaster VBV1210 12-Gallon 5 Peak HP Shop Vacuum with Blower Attachment - Detachable & Blue by Daniel Aboubakar

I give this vacuum cleaner a 5 star rating. I've used it on my carpeted stairs and also outside for leaves. The vacuum turned out to be better than expected in both scenarios. I've read countless reviews of this product on Amazon and it seems to get a few bad reviews in terms of its reliability out of the box. People also complain a lot about wheels falling off. I hope to clarify some of these reviews. Let's deal with the simple first. The wheels slide along the bottom of the case. Vacmaster supplies screws to attach the rollers. People who complain about them falling off just didn't use screws to hold the casters in place. As for reliability out of the box. When I first connected and started the vacuum cleaner, it worked great. It turned off after about 5 minutes. My first thought was that I received a non-working device like some of the other reviews I read. After some troubleshooting I found that the vacuum had tripped the breaker. I found this odd until I realized I had plugged it into an outlet running from switch #15. I assume this has been the case in most of the one star reviews the product has received. I would suggest plugging this vacuum into a kitchen outlet. Most kitchen sockets work with switch number 20 or higher because they are designed to run household appliances. Once I plugged it into the kitchen outlet (switch #20) everything worked like a dream. It sucks well in vacuum mode and has performed very well as a blower in my small backyard. In this case, you will definitely need an extension cord. Especially for me because most of the circuit breakers in my house are from the 15th grade. I've only used it three times and I'm far from attesting to its reliability, but with a two-year warranty I'm not overly concerned. I love all the built in storage for accessories. The hose also has a locking mechanism and stays connected to the chassis with ease. This is useful when pulling the device by the hose in vacuum mode. Overall I think it was a good purchase and exceeds my needs. Thanks for reading and happy shopping!
