Buyers beware of cars and vehicles Electronics

I had high hopes for a simple camera. I removed the rear door (factory installed reversing camera). I just wanted a simple camera connected to a factory wiring harness. a factory connector cap (provided by the manufacturer to prevent corrosion) and this camera connector. Whether a male connector is attached to this camera or not, a female connector is required to connect directly to one of the factory connectors. I have a 2018 Ram 1500 Crew Cab SLT Harvest.
