. corrupt guy. I have an exterior door that opens to the backyard and pool. The only problem is that there is a rug in front of him. My dogs used to get so dirty the carpet right next to the door frame that I was beside myself. I didn't want tile or hardwood/laminate in the room so didn't have much choice. Carpets slip over time and with 4 dogs I want to pull out all my hair when it rains. With my new rug in place before the dogs could get it dirty, I went and put this plastic covering right up against the door frame. I have one that was very durable for stairs because of dog claws. I didn't want to risk them puncture it and get the carpet wet and dirty. So far it's working like a charm. The only problem I found is that the instructions say you can't turn it off for more than 30 days. What I don't know is that if I pull it out after 28 days, how long will I have to wait before putting more in. Or it's 30 days and you can never put it on the carpet again. I also don't know if it leaves a sticky residue on the carpet. I pray it doesn't happen. So keep your fingers crossed for me. I knew I had to try something new as everything I had tried in the past outside that door had just failed. A week went by like this and on the 28th day I left a reminder to remove the plastic. I'll update this as I find out more.
