At first my dog (I admit he's not the smartest) was really frustrated trying to figure out how to get the treats hidden in this but now that he's figured it out he really enjoys the challenge. He just wishes it would dispense infinite treats.I only give this four stars because the compartments are too small to fit most treats without cutting them up, and only holds a few tiny kibbles each, which mean you couldn't feed an entire meal to even the smallest dog. So I'd call this a fun interactive toy rather than a slow feeder.The other thing I didn't like is that the cleaning tool came already damaged in the package rendering it pretty useless. It wasn't squished in the package so someone must have put it in there like that. Not really a big deal though, the tool is just a bonus.I think larger or more aggressive dogs could wreck this pretty easily. My dog is very gentle so not worried about it, but my impatient late cocker spaniel would have just broke it open in minutes rather than pushing the slides around.I'd definitely recommend this for bored dogs that are smaller and gentle. But as a treat, not for meals.
