Picked up a Japanese dirt bike and read about the difference between Phillips and JIS screwdrivers. Remembering how I disassembled a set of Kawasaki carburetors and removed 1/3 of all the bolts, I decided that $20 was a small price to pay to avoid that heartache. It just so happened that I was right. These screwdrivers are a perfect match for these almost zero backlash screws. I compared #2 (the most common size on this bike) to every Phillips screwdriver I had and there was no doubt that JIS #2 was made for these screws, but Phillips screws are not. It's not that you *can't* use Phillips, but JIS was designed to fit. Drivers wrung out even stubborn bolts with little persuasion and the occasional tap when they got stuck. But the heads were NOT rounded. We strongly encourage you to buy them.
