It's worth what you pay for it, even with its shortcomings.
This set was pretty decent for what it was. It's too much wax in the thread, but definitely usable for beginners. Leather finger rests are cool. The needle holder is nice but I had a crack in the wood. The needles themselves are fantastic and varied. The scissors aren't great, but the real gem is the sewing pony. It's portable, well made, adjustable and well worth the money until you buy an expensive one.
