I have an 8 year old cat who is addicted to these toys. They used to be very easy to find - Walmart, Kmart, Petsmart, Petco, the dollar store - they all cost about a dollar. Now they are almost impossible to find. I ordered everything they had in stock when I placed my order here. My cat is afraid of separation and uses it for her own comfort. He carries them in his mouth, cries until he drops them on the spot where he last saw us, then he falls asleep. Absolutely nothing helps him. He also likes to play with us with this toy. This is not the strongest toy, the tip breaks off easily, but we just tie it to a stick a little lower. I don't normally leave a rope toy (although it can be elastic) around a cat, but this cat never touches the rope, even when playing, it's only interested in holding the toy in its mouth. Sometimes he "strums" the string to make the bell ring. Too sweet.
