I've had this item for about a month. Why I bought it, this dressing mixer model turned out to be very practical and good looking. I liked that it also had a small piece of plastic to emulsify the dressing inside the jar. The quibbles with this product are two things; The main cover is difficult to remove when there is oil around the rim. Although it shouldn't be a mess, the spice mix can spill out of the special handle lid when you remove it. Make sure you tighten the handle as it may loosen when shaking/mixing. Another problem is that the pressure on the outside has come off. It originally contained helpful lines for oils and vinegars, as well as recipes for basic types of dressings. It's no big deal, but I've had glass measuring cups that still show lines after years, so I know anything is possible. For a time when I couldn't remove the lid to fill the jar, I was able to pour my ingredients into the small opening designed to dispense the dressing. It worked, but not as glamorously as the price demanded.
