This model was quite a bit of fun to put together. It definitely took a long time to get it right. I have created many of these typeface models and this one is considered to be one of the most labor intensive. I could do it much faster, but I didn't want to break anything and wanted everything to work the first time. I succeeded, but with great effort and patience. As with their other model kits, the instructions consisted mostly of pictures. This is great as it provides detail and makes it easy to know where the parts are, where and how exactly they will look when assembled correctly. Another plus point of this kit is the many different types of materials used in construction. Of course, the wooden parts are similar to the other models, but using rubber bands to attach the liferafts to the ship and nylon cords to create the handrails added some extra fun. I also liked the larger piece of sandpaper that came with this model compared to others. It helped to get the larger parts sanded faster and also held a little lighter when sanding the smaller pieces. A minor gripe might be that some of the leaves were carved with wooden knots on some of the more visible exterior parts. which takes away the beauty of the completed project. I understand wood is like that sometimes, but of course they could use these parts as interior parts that don't spoil the look. Overall it was a great model and I would recommend it for experienced modellers of this type or for beginners. with HUGE patience, but it's really not for kids or people who don't want to spend some time building it properly.
