Everything right from design to execution

I had a pop-up drain that was part of a cheap set from the previous home-owner. After 6 months, kaput. This drain is all metal. It has ports for overflow drainage. the parts are all high quality, including the all-important gaskets. 5 Stars easily. I bought another set for the other drain with the same story but not failing (yet). How often are your expectations exceeded? even for a simple item like this?
