Great braking tool!

Where has it been all my life!? I don't know how or why I haven't bought one of these before. I've spent almost 20 years replacing pads and rotors myself and have always used fingers or a clamp to push the pistons back in. Tool so I don't scratch the paint on the calipers. This tool is so easy to use and so effective that I feel like an idiot for not buying it 20 years ago. As said, there is a surface load/pressure required to engage or disengage the ratchet, but that just means squeezing it for the first few cranks until it makes contact with the pads or pistons, and then just cranking. . When you're done, flip a switch and change direction, pull the handle once and it can be removed from the calipers. Then simply squeeze it with your hand to apply the necessary gentle closing pressure for the next caliper. The front brake calipers on my car are pretty dull. I had to fully compress the pistons before I could remove the metal spring that pushes the pads and holds them in place. I then had to reinstall the pads, install the caliper and step on the brake pedal to pull the pistons out so I could remove the damaged anthers and install new ones. After that I had to push the plungers back in before I could put that metal spring back in. I saved probably 20 minutes per lap compared to using a clamp.
