Review on QUWEI Crankcase Valve Breather 11157532649 by Andrew Enriquez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good PCV kit, no major installation problems.

I was glad all the hoses I need were included. I read in the reviews that the o-rings are too big, they must have fixed it because all mine fit fine. I roughly reassembled all the tubes in the CCV and then removed them as you can't reattach the CCV with the tubes attached. Since the o-rings are made of rubber and therefore have high friction, you will need to put silicone grease on them and on the hole they go in to make them easier to install and remove. If these tubes connect to fittings already installed on the vehicle, you may need to clean the hole with fine steel wool to remove any carbon from the surfaces. It's the same with the baths they set up. Removing the old hose from the CCV valve to the CCV outlet at the top of the engine was next to impossible, I had to cut it off at both ends. In my case the lower drain pipe under the CCV was completely broken and disconnected so all the separated oil was simply drained onto the lower motor. In addition, the CCV was sucking outside air into the intake, air that was not being counted by the mass airflow sensor, causing the computer to output a precisely lean code (PO171 and PO174). I think that was the whole problem because. after I disassembled the old CCV valve, the diaphragm was NOT torn, it must have been ok. Lean codes no longer apply.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Hard to tell
