This is not an oversized plate. This is a standard size so be aware. If you want one of these, you understand why and how rare they can be. This is not the "unbreakable" soft/flexible thin nylon sheet you find at your local hardware store for 89 cents. It is hard, thick, and brittle if not handled with care. I haven't cracked any, but be careful when installing. We needed two because all of our outdoor switches are smart and I wanted them to be easily distinguishable from our indoor toggle switches which are dull. Most smart switches, especially dimmers, are "decoration sheets". They work great - just tighten these screws with just two fingers.
