Interesting to experiment; so no instructions. yes

A) Made in China. I know almost everyone is in the 21st century but it's still disappointing. B) Very easy to clean and dries fairly quickly when rinsed with hot water. If oil builds up in the carafe, it's easy to spot it early and use a tiny drop of ecohappy dish soap and hot water, rinse well and air dry on my bamboo dryer. No rest. Easy-peasey.C) Zero instructions lol. Oh God. We used a 500ml measuring cup to check the markings on the carafe. They do not fit together. Which is even funnier. Which does ______________ mean. D) It's a lot of fun to experiment. If you make coffee before you go to work, this is not the right tool. I sip espresso with my morning digital newspaper and enjoy coffee just before noon (yes, addiction, IR). So I had a lot of fun figuring out how to get different concentrations: like drops, like abs, like a perk, and like a dork in the office. I like rich black. Key to this is not as coarse a grind as a press grind, for example hair is finer than coarse and 1 scoop per "cup" (actually @ 125ml of water and I use a espresso spoon) - TIP => ignore the small ones Numbers "cup" symbols on the carafe tick marks. Use 125ml per "cup" of coffee and remember that an 8 ounce cup is not a "cup" for our purposes. I would say count in 125ml increments but the ml markings on this carafe don't match the actual measurements either lol. Remember to first soak the grist in the cone filter in a circular motion, then allow it to pass before moving on to the "bloom" when the grist swells and water remains on it. Also, don't boil the water, try to reach 93˚C/200˚F so you don't burn the grind. So far I've come. It's great fun, expect you to play and experiment. Not bad for $20.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
