The ring is very beautiful. However, there are two issues that may or may not be the deciding factor for you. At first it seems that the ring is too big. Not sure what size it is as I don't have a gauge (mandolin) for it, but I ordered a size 8 to fit my daughter and it fits a little too loosely on my own finger (size 9). its ring-shaped part (and not the part with a rose ornament) is quite thin and angular. I suspect this might make it a little uncomfortable to wear, but then again I'm not sure because this is for someone else and I haven't tested it. Still, it's a beautiful ring and I'm pretty sure my daughter will love it, but I'll order a smaller size for her (maybe keep this one! :-) ).
