Review on MC-400 Fuel-Tool Check Valve Repair Equipment by Matt Mosley

One Tricky Pony: Power Tools

This tool only does one thing, but it does it well and saves you money. Harley Davidson says this part is irreparable, $43 new plus $180 to repair. With this tool and a new o-ring for less than $2, or if you need a complete dual o-ring and valve kit for about $14, you can repair an original part in minutes. Original O-rings wear out because they are not resistant to ethanol in gas. With this kit and the new ethanol-resistant O-rings, you can do the repair yourself. I still suggest you find local gas stations with premium ethanol-free rates, since your bikes have other parts that will degrade more quickly when exposed to ethanol.
