During the day we keep the side door to our garage open for our dog to have shelter and access to food and water. At night we keep her in the garage with the door closed so she doesn't bark and disturb our neighbors. The side door opens outward through a concrete platform that sits a few inches below the door sill. This easy to install OGC Easy 6" Semi-Automatic Doorstop - The 6" Doorstop had just enough extra length to reach the concrete slab. It included three Philips screws for installation. I used a plastic clip to hold the doorstop. in place, installed the first screw and then was able to install two more screws without assistance. Activating the doorstop is as easy as stepping your foot. When I want it to close, I just tap the latch with my toe and the doorstop goes up again. You don't have to bend down. This doorstop keeps the wind from closing the front door to the garage, but doesn't stop us from closing the door at the end of the day. The result is a simple and economical solution. to protect the door.
