Review on Kodiak Cutting Tools KCT133681 Diameter by Mark Adams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This thing is seriously abused!

This tool was purchased to remove a hardened steel pin with an interference fit through a steel shank. Another person in front of me tried unsuccessfully to pull it out with a flashlight, hammer, and twist drill. He seems to have hardened the material to such an extent that any twist drill can no longer do anything. I bought it to fit in a 1/4" drive electric die grinder. Obviously the tool wasn't designed for this, but it worked. The drill bit spun at about 20,000 RPM for almost 90 minutes and got amazing hot. Instead of throwing the chips away, all the abraded material flew out in the form of sparks. I'm very impressed with the performance I got for less than $20 and I'm surprised the price is that good when you consider it considering it's even made in America Good tool.

  • 1/2 length of cut
