Review on 🌍 GlobalSat BR-355: High-Performance Serial GPS Receiver for Accurate Global Positioning by Wendy Washington

Bought this unit after reading another review about using it with TM-D710A. This machine works great and is purchased FAST. Really fast. All you have to do is apply 5V to it and connect the serial lines to the radio's 3/32" GPS cable and you're done. The 7805 regulator is cheap and easy to provide 5V from your vehicle's DC system. I used a small breadboard to wire everything up and stuffed everything into a small plastic box. Works like a charm for my mobile APRS/digipeater setup. (Edited to add): The magnet at the base isn't strong at all, so be aware of that
