Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Taulman3D Filament: High-quality Polyamide Consumable for Printers by Jonathan Abreu

Extremely durable material

I print with XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro. At first I couldn't get the stuff to work. The prints looked really bad and I had a lot of stringy fabric. After working with it, I realized that I need to reduce the usual layers (the thickness of the shell vertically). The nozzle is at a 250ยฐ angle and the bed is at a 90ยฐ angle. The layer height is 0.3. The thickness of the shell is usually 2 layers. The thickness of the shell at the top and bottom is three layers. Retraction 10 mm, retraction speed 200 mm/s. All other speeds are the same as I use for ABS. I still get a little stringing, but it's acceptable and easy to remove. I also get a purple cast in my prints (not pure black like ABS). In addition, this material is very durable - much more wear-resistant than ABS.

Pros
  • Nylon thread. Higher strength, higher performance than PLA, ABS or PETG filaments. Alloy 910 is trusted by professional designers and engineers around the world.
Cons
  • New competitors are here
