These sandstone blocks are very well carved and fun to sharpen. My knives work much better. Disclaimer: If you are new to sharpening I would definitely recommend watching some YouTube videos on how to sharpen as not all knives are created equal. Some require about a 2 cent bevel and some sharper corners. The block that comes with the kit is made of rubber and has a slight clearance. So if you sharpen a knife with it, it will play and your bezel won't look good due to the degree change. I keep seeing a sandstone holder and a diploma holder that looks worthwhile. I think that would be a more correct edge. But apart from the instructions overall great stones to use. The polished leather strap is also great.
