These thermometers are not accurate. Don't waste money. I put them in my new GE fridge and even though the fridge was set at 37 degrees, the thermometer read 28-32 degrees. We called GE because we thought the device wasn't setting the temperature correctly. The technician connects his laptop to the device and runs a diagnosis. Nothing. It collects the temperature history. On its screen you can see the temperature, including the minimum, maximum and average temperature, by the hour over several days. Everything in spec. Nothing wrong with the fridge. His advice: throw away the thermometers. He thought the metal case gave false evidence. He suggested using an old-fashioned mercury thermometer to get accurate readings. He said just put it in a glass of water. These will be returned.
