Review on Cable Matters 110 Punch Down Tool: Enhanced Efficiency with 110 Blade! by Justino Pratama

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for the average home/small office user

First of all, my initial rating was 1 star - my original tool broke on first use. Cable Matters emailed back a few days later and replaced it for free with no questions asked and best of all they didn't ask to remove or revise the review - they just mentioned that they had a negative review had seen them and said they would send a replacement. The replacement works well and the yoke, which was broken on the original, moves much easier when replaced. So they definitely have fantastic customer service. It's by no means a pro-level instrument (what do you expect for $10?!), but it's definitely not made for pros (if you're a pro, spend the money and get a Klein certification). ). It works great for hobbyists, home users, or small office users. So far I've punched 6 ports out of a 12 port block along with 6 connectors. I'm giving 5 stars based on the fact that it's geared more towards the home user/hobbyist than the professional - it works great for the home office. If I were a pro it would get 2 stars, but if you're a pro look at Klein, isn't it? My only complaints are that the end of the cable doesn't always cut off (they're notched enough to be snapped off by hand) and the low kick setting sometimes doesn't fully install the cable (using Monoprice trapezoids and an Intellinet patch panel ). with 12 ports you really need to learn how to align it). To the right; Once you do that, things will go MUCH easier.

Pros

Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
