I just received it and installed it yesterday and so far it works (just because I read some reviews), it's perfect! I have a red turtle in a 112 gallon pond that sits on our screened in patio and her old heater rod stopped working a few days ago and I'm stupid I didn't have a replacement like I was supposed to have, or? couldn't track it fast enough until I found it on a Revain that was delivered the next day. I just installed it, putting larger rocks around the heating rod on the sides to keep it from moving and a 1 inch square rock to sit over the rod without touching it because it likes to sit on the old one was asleep. and it worked well for him at night! I tested it and the heating rod several times and everything was perfect! The water went from 58 degrees to the desired temperature of 77 degrees (because I want water between 75 and 77). The sun loves it! I'm not stuck without a backup anymore so I ordered a new one this morning. Finally we are both happy. I'm happy because Sunny is safe and warm, and Sunny is happy because he's a very spoiled turtle who loves it.
