Recently bought a new fifth wheel with a heavier drawbar. I emailed an Air Lift technician to verify the correct kit number for my truck ('03 Silverado 2500HD LB). The answer came within an hour. I would not recommend driving an empty truck with bags over 30 pounds inflated. Not only is it very stiff, but it is also sensitive to wheel hops and reacts significantly more to impacts. I chose the airbag system because you can adjust the amount of support as needed. The RV dealer recommended heavy springs for the truck, which would also do the job, but 98% of the time I drive a truck with no RV and little or no body weight, it will be too stiff and uncomfortable to drive. The pneumatic lift combines the best of both worlds. UPDATE: I highly recommend only using them for occasional truck capacity increases. Check your vehicle's specifications and restrictions.
