Review on Black GlobalSat BU-353-S4 USB GPS Receiver by Jacob Diego

Absolutely fantastic. Worked on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit desktop without installing drivers. Worked on a 64-bit laptop with Windows 7 Pro without installing drivers. None of the operating systems required a reboot. I use it with offline GPS program Street Atlas USA 2015 Plus [Download]. Street Atlas USA recognized it immediately and I didn't have to select it. If required, the settings are as follows: -Device: GlobalSat BU-353Port: USBSettings: 4800,8,N,1 If your computer chooses otherwise, set it to the above settings. The time Street Atlas USA locked onto the satellites lasted about a minute and a half. After that, Street Atlas USA fixes the satellites in no time. After checking it on both computers *INSIDE* my house, it picked up between 7 and 8 satellites! There is no doubt that this is an excellent GPS receiver. From the many 1-star ratings, I couldn't find a suitable one. That doesn't mean some people have computer problems they don't know how to fix, or that someone didn't get a bad machine. But I had absolutely NO problems.
