Review on Swanson Tool S0101 7 Inch Square by Danny Thomas

I thought it was a casting so I expected the markings to be rougher than if they were lasered. I tested the squareness on myself and it was perfect. I also tested it on very expensive but not very strong squares and it was accurate. I read a complaint that the weld was left with burrs that needed to be filed off. Mine looks like a solid cast with no welding. It's a solid square that I think will hold up to some serious abuse and still be square. I can throw it in the tool box without worry. The little book was good if you didn't have a carpenter grandfather. I think some info on stair building would be helpful as the square size is more suitable for this type of work. I have only good things to say about this product.
