Review on Neitra 30 45 90 Angled Drill Guide Jig with 4 Bits for Cable Railing: Efficiently Drilling Angled and Straight Holes in Wood Posts by Marcus Britton

Extremely well made

First of all I have to say that the "Neitra Angled Drill Guide Jig” is well built, no plastic in it at all. It feels solid in your hand and should last a lifetime. At just over a pound, it’s also quite heavy for its size.As a woodworker and DIYer I always like to check the accuracy of my tools. For this drill jig I clamped it to the edge of a piece of maple and drilled through and then I used a handsaw to get access to the newly drilled angled holes. As you can see from the photos, the 30 and 45 degree holes were within 1 degree for accuracy. Considering that the steel sleeves are a tiny bit bigger than the drill bit (i.e. there’s just a very slight bit of wiggle room), 1 degree of accuracy is incredible. The jig is basically a solid block, so a clamp can firmly hold the jig against a multitude of objects. The corner or 90 degree cut out under the 90 degree steel sleeve holes is also a very nice touch and can be used for multiple purposes (round objects, or into the edge of a board are a few uses). On the outside of the jig are indented lines showing the center location of each of the holes that can be drilled.Overall this is a wonderfully made small jig that can be used for a multitude of purposes.
