2005 Tacoma Airaid Intake

I'm very picky about air intakes. Any vibration or whistle and I take it back. This approach is good for many reasons. First, it's silent. The noise in the cabin before and after installation has not changed. When you open the hood and turn on the engine, you can hear a new suction that wasn't there before. My Tacoma was an Airaid demo so I could see the R&D and manufacturing process here in Arizona. I was very impressed with the whole experience as well as free consumption for my time. Secondly, this consumption does not require strange modifications. Nothing will be damaged and works the same as the bearing mount. It draws air from a pressurized chamber that exhausts to the passenger's front wheel in the same manner as a standard air intake to protect the engine from damage. It also uses the original airbox to eliminate noise. Airaid will amaze you with what they consider in their research and development phase. Nothing is ignored. Thirdly, the increased power and torque are pleasant. Power increases by 15 and torque by 12 pounds. It used to be easy to pass someone uphill, but the new entrance lets you show off. Check out the dyno results on the Airaid website ([.] Last thing I should mention is the gas mileage. A lot of people talk about increasing gas mileage by buying an air intake, big and I ride it in 118 degrees I drive 30 miles at ASU for a week in a big hurry Most of the time the gas light comes on at about 370 miles (91 octane) as I drive back and forth You can tell I don't know anyone from '05, to compare the results c , my elderly super conservative parents (and girlfriend) were very upset when they found out I had an air intake installed. I mean really upset. After a long argument they drove the truck and inspected it. Conclusion - mine Mother wants the same for his Sienna and my father wants the same for his Highlander.

Pros
  • No drilling, cutting or fabrication required; Installs easily in storage location
Cons
  • Negative gift
