A great addition to any kitchen. We had one of these in our kitchen drawer for years, I thought it was for grapefruit and never used it. A friend came and grabbed it and cut the pear in no time. WOW how easy to use. Because of the fruit trees in the yards, we had to take one for both houses. So now we can easily eat fresh pears, apples and Asian pears all day long. Position the center hole in the center of the stem, press firmly and BAM! Fruit bars that can be given to children like candy. Then rinse well or throw in the dishwasher. We've been using them for a number of years now, the blades feel as sharp as the first day and the frame (handles) are solid and comfortable to grip. I wish they were filming at the same time, but we can't eat them all.
