I removed the transmitter unit from my 1986 SBC 350 and fitted this adapter The adapter threads gently into the LS cylinder head Price-performance ratio

Pros

Coolant Temperature Sensor Adapter Made from billet aluminum, to adapt a factory M12-1.5 coolant sensor socket to an old 3/8" threaded mechanical or electrical temperature sensor. Commonly used when replacing an LS engine with something which originally had an SBC or BBC to maintain factory or aftermarket conditions
