Description of Whip Coolant Temperature Adapter Mechanical

Standard Length Coolant Adapter for Temp Sensors that only need 1” depth for the sensor. Compatible with all LS Series Engines 1997-2014 (GEN. III/IV small block chevy) Adapter has Male M12x1.5 thread and female 3/8” NPT threads (3/8” NPT is approx. 11/16” od). Billet Aluminum Coolant Temperature Sensor Adapter used to Adapt the Factory LS M12-1.5 Female Coolant Sensor Port to a 3/8” NPT Older Style Mechanical or Electric Temp sensor. Normally used when swapping an LS engine into something that originally had an SBC or BBC to retain the factory or after market. This will thread into the driver side of the cylinder head near the front or the passenger side cylinder head near the rear. Works as recommended.

I removed the transmitter unit from my 1986 SBC 350 and fitted this adapter The adapter threads gently into the LS cylinder head Price-performance ratio
