I wanted to cook potatoes with scallops, but I didn't have the right kitchen tools. The food processor was running too fast to make even slices, so I went to Revane to find a good mandolin. I chose the Culinary Cooking Tools mandolin for its high rating, multiple cuts, and apparent durability. I am happy with my choice. I use it daily when preparing various fruit and vegetable dishes. I satisfied my craving for scalloped potatoes and the thin, even slices were perfect for my recipe. My kids love apple sticks and apple chips and I love how easy they are to make as the only waste is the core. I also used the recipes from the eco book that came with my purchase. Donuts and fried potato chips have made potatoes a new favorite in my kitchen, giving me a healthier alternative to greasy and salty potato chips. As far as the cutter is concerned, the Culinary Cooking Tools mandolin stands on a solid foundation with handy dimensions. The stainless steel blade is razor sharp and makes clean, even cuts. The included hand guard allows me to cut food with zero waste and most importantly, without exposing my fingers to sharp blades. I am giving this kitchen appliance five stars as it exceeded my expectations, is excellent value for money and has the added Ecobook feature. The only thing I would add is a detachable cutting blade that makes sharpening easier when needed. - Happy home cook.
