Are they light? Yes, as described. But these are NOT skateboard shoes. The foam soles (forefoot) of the shoes crumbled like cheese on duct tape; Also, don't expect to try any tricks without sanding down your shoes. The forefoot broke just 30 minutes after the start of the fitting, as can be seen in the picture shown (see picture). Another problem with the shoes was their width. If you have wide feet, avoid these shoes! These shoes are fully open and barely fit; They are small in width but accurate in length. Overall I gave these shoes a 2 because they were light weight and good looking but they are not designed for wide feet or skateboarding. Only buy them if you want to wear them casually and have narrow feet.
