I have an x470 msi ac gaming board. Bluetooth/WLAN, like many boards, have antennas attached to the board. Two problems, they're in the way, and two, they're blocked by my huge metal case. In my experience, the signal is much better. This goes even further, especially with game controllers. I won't waste time measuring signal strength objectively, but I'm also seeing more of my neighbors' WiFi. My guess is that longer antennas compensate somewhat for the long wire that always loses signal. WI-Fi and antennas in general, to name a few, are very susceptible to interference and location, so as with anything, your mileage may vary. I suspect the main thing is to get these antennas in almost line of sight behind my computer, which has made a huge difference for me in most use cases. This is a good product. I would have preferred detachable antennas, but that's ok.
