Hamsters seem to like sand baths

I didn't know hamsters liked sand baths until my son told me. Now when we clean their cages, we fill a small tub 1/2 full with sand and place the tub in a plastic container. Hamsters dig in the sand for 15-20 minutes, roll on it and then shake it out of their fur. This product is not the dusty powder that Petco and PetSmart sell; The powder is dangerous for hamsters because it gets into the lungs. This is fine sand.
