Review on 🔧 Front Upper Suspension Ball Joint Assembly by ACDelco Advantage 46D0024A by Mike Campbell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Connections in OEM quality.

Exactly the same as the original apart from being bolted together instead of riveted. I've only used Moog ball joints to get their flimsy wellies to snap in a short time. Also, the boots of traditional upper ball joints are bonded to a "spacer" plate and cannot be retrofitted to polyurethane or simply replaced without removing the joint from the suspension arm. These ball joints have the anthers slide over the hub just like the OEM joints. I had to replace the arm bushings on my 86 C10. The joints were still fine, but the thin rubber on the cups was torn from 8 years of "wear and tear". This may sound normal, but when you consider that I only average 200-500 miles a year in them, it's clear that Moog have cheap, flimsy boots that just can't stand the strain. When in doubt about what to buy, choose AC Delco.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Good but not great
