Quality and solid construction. The hub comes with well-written instructions in both Japanese and English. The USB 3 ports were immediately recognized by my laptop. Please note that your USB-C on your laptop may not support HDMI output like my ASUS Strix laptop does. This is an ASUS issue, not the VILCOME USB-C hub adapter. As stated in the description, it provides 87W power delivery for MacBook Pro, iPad Pro 2019/2018, Pixelbook, XPS and other devices, however, Asus laptops usually do not support USB-C Power Delivery (PD). If you have an Asus laptop, you can determine power adapter and HDMI output compatibility by looking at the tiny label next to your laptop's USB-C port and comparing it to the diagram on the Asus website. The slot works perfectly and there are no problems with the speed. I connected my Anker 10-port 60W 7-port USB 3.0 data hub to this hub and everything worked right away with no lag, including the Anker SATA 3 external drive enclosure. Everything ran smoothly and at full speed. I have a MacBook Air and this little hub is great for wired ethernet connections and I no longer have to plug in an ethernet to USB adapter and use one of the USB ports on my MacBook to use wired ethernet. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and finally found a use for my laptop's USB-C port!
