We have two 12ft kayaks that have just been stacked on top of each other due to lack of storage space. I was looking for some sort of storage system to keep them off the ground, but all the hooks that say 'kayak hooks' are ridiculously expensive for what they are. I came across these giant storage hooks and saw from the reviews that other people use them to hang kayaks so I took a chance and ordered them. I installed them to the side of my lumber storage using the 2" screws that were provided. They are sturdy and big enough and they hold kayaks great! The rubber cuff they wore is a bit flimsy as another reviewer suggested, but they get the job done. There is also enough space to attach the oars to the hooks. All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase. What's in the box: A large storage hook with foam sleeve, two 2" mounting screws.
